The West African Sub-regional Conference on Cybersecurity and Digital Sovereignty will take place in Dakar from 13 to 15 October 2026. The official ceremony is scheduled for 13 October at Cheikh Anta Diop University; workshops will continue on 14 and 15 October at the Horticultural Vocational Training Centre (CFPH).
Cybersecurity engineer and resource person within the colloquium ecosystem, Gérard Joseph Francisco DACOSTA is leading an October 2026 awareness and skills campaign and provides a White Paper on cybersecurity and digital sovereignty in Senegal.
The campaign includes four webinars, four Cisco NetAcad Cyber Saturdays, a Cyber Academy, challenges, networking, career activities and an awareness campaign in French and Wolof.
The publication reviews legal and institutional frameworks, cybercrime trends, emerging technologies and governance issues, and proposes perspectives on governance, law, awareness and training.
These items directly concern CREDA, the Cyber Conference, its President or its resource persons, so they are presented before general external resources.
The Senegalese Press Agency reports on CREDA’s contribution to the Senegal 2050 Agenda, including twenty recommendations, six of them identified as priorities.
